Help me set aside my leaving fund

Your goal

€360 of €1,500

A deposit and a lawyer's first fee. At €20 a week, you'll get there in about 57 weeks.

€10€20€30€50

Just an example. Nora never holds your money.

How it works

1

Open an account in your name only

We'll show you how, with a bank or app your partner doesn't use and can't see.

2

Choose your goal

A deposit, a lawyer's first fee, a month's rent: you decide.

3

Put a little aside each week

From your own income. Even €10 a week adds up.

4

Nora adds to it

When you're ready to leave, Nora tops up what you've saved with a grant, paid straight to your lawyer or landlord.

Keep it safe

Use a phone and email your partner can't get into. Turn off notifications from your new account, and never link it to a shared account or shared cloud storage.

Opening soon

Your savings stay in your own account, in your name. Nora never holds your money. Matching amounts will be confirmed at launch.

What it covers

The first costs of leaving

A leaving fund doesn't need to be big. It needs to cover the first few weeks.

A deposit

In Spain, the legal deposit is one month's rent, and landlords may ask for up to two more as a guarantee.

A first legal consultation

Advice on custody, maintenance and your rights before you go.

The move

A van, a train ticket, a few nights somewhere safe.

A phone of your own

A new number and contract in your name only.

How it could add up

Keep it safe

Saving without anyone knowing

Choose a bank your partner doesn't use

An online bank or app in your name only, with its own login. Not linked to any shared account.

Turn off paper post and notifications

Go paperless, switch off app alerts, and keep the app off your home screen.

Use a device only you can get into

Or log out every time. Check that the account isn't saved in a shared browser or cloud.

Keep copies of your documents

ID, passports, your children's birth certificates, payslips and bank statements: photographed and stored somewhere only you can reach.

Tell one person you trust

Someone who knows the plan and can hold copies, a spare key or a little cash for you.
